Description
Sasquatch Rated badges are like large coins (60mm x 3mm) and are popular with the outdoor, the offroad, and the overland camping enthusiasts. Caption on my coins is “Squatch Rated” and the emblem is a forest with a sasquatch walking over a mound, and the rising sun in the background. The rising sun can be imagined as a beautiful day in the forest, or the Japanese rising sun flag.
Mass Appeal of Sasquatch Rated Badges
There’s nothing about these squatch Rated badges to identify them as particular to any brand of truck, or any particular nation, or any particular activity. The text “4×4” was intentionally omitted because that does not pertain to all vehicles. The sasquatch rated badge applies to any flat surface on a camper trailer, or 2 wheel drive vehicle.
Coin badges were made popular by Jeep, when Trail Rated badges started appearing on some model fenders since 2004. The company claims “The Trail Rated® badge** is never given to a Jeep® Brand vehicle. It’s earned. Every Trail Rated 4×4 has succeeded against a series of grueling tests in five categories: Traction, Water Fording, Maneuverability, Articulation and Ground Clearance.” –Jeep website March 2023 https://www.jeep.com/trail-rated.html Also, they have a Jeep badge of honor program for trail accomplishments started in 2013, with oval badges for completion of specific trails.
Unique Squatch Coin Badge Appearance
Each sasquatch rated badge has a very unique antique brass coin look, not your run of the mill silver coin badge look that you see everywhere.
My sasquatch rated badges are made of zinc alloy. They are individually packaged in a zip lock bag.
